Nature will be discussed at Zero Waste Forum

While sources are rapidly depleting all over the world, pollution caused by human beings and their damage to nature have risen to the utmost level particularly in the last 25 years. On top of it, this situation has come to an extent to threaten not only today but also our next generations.

To avoid this situation, particularly academics are taking significant steps on the prevention of natural source wastage and protection of the environment. Scientists including Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu will deal with our future on platforms such as the most environmentally-friendly exhibition in Turkey, ENTECH, and Zero Waste Forum.

Working at the Department of Chemical Engineering of ITU (Istanbul Technical University), Prof. Dr. Filiz Karaosmanoğlu served as the Founding Vice Rector of Yalova University and Founding President of the Department of Energy Systems Engineering between 2008-2012. Her primary area of research is biofuel technology and she works on biochemicals, biolubricants, waste upcycling, and life cycle, mainly focusing on clean production technologies.

Prof. Dr. Karaosmanoğlu has been taking an active part in various non-governmental organizations, particularly SUT-D (Sustainable Consumption and Production Association), and also closely interested in sustainable production-consumption-service, renewable-sourced energy technologies, waste economy, and Turkey resisting for climate change.
